On March 19, 2019 at approximately 9:45 pm, the Water and Sewer Department had a steamer cap fail due to frost. The Water and Sewer Operators were on scene and had the situation addressed within the half hour of the call. Although, the incident was addressed in a timely manner some residents and facilities may have lost water. The Water and Sewer Department is issuing a Boil Water Notice to take preventative measures against potential contamination. During this time, you may notice an increased scent of chlorine. This is not harmful, it is only a cautionary measure for potential contamination. The Department will post a notification when they receive safe test results back and the Boil Water Notice can be removed.
